The "Maple in Bloom, Unity in Love – 2025 Shenzhen Charity Night," jointly initiated by the Canada Confederation of Shenzhen Associations (CCSA) and Eternal Love Charity Association of Canada, Yee Hong Foundation, and Canada-China Realty Professional Association, was held at the Pan Pacific Toronto. The event marked the 9th anniversary of CCSA and coincided with the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and China. More than 500 guests attended, including federal, provincial and municipal officials, representatives from the Chinese Consulate-General in Toronto, community and business leaders, charitable organizations, and media. Prime Minister Mark Carney also sent a congratulatory letter recognizing CCSA’s contributions to community engagement and unity.

Charity was at the heart of the evening. In the presence of government and community leaders, CCSA and the Canada Deep Love Charity Foundation presented a CAD $30,000 donation to Yee Hong Foundation in support of local senior care and services. Guests also participated in Yee Hong’s 2025 Dragon Raffle, supporting senior services and the development of new long-term care facilities. The evening featured a vibrant program of music, dance, Peking Opera, poetry and other cultural performances, bringing together philanthropy and Chinese-Canadian culture in a celebration of compassion and community.

Over the past nine years, CCSA has remained committed to serving the community, promoting multiculturalism, supporting charitable causes, and strengthening people-to-people connections between Canada and China. The 2025 Charity Gala celebrated these achievements while reaffirming the organization’s commitment to building a more connected, caring and inclusive community in the years ahead.
